ABOUT THE OWNER (Warren Thomas Weekes).
"YOUR FAMILY DOCUMENTARY" is the latest division of
Brisbane based Audio Visual business Warren Thomas Productions
owned by film producer/musician Warren.
Within 3 months of forming Warren Thomas Productions in July 2003,
Warren rapidly secured two small contracts from the Australian Government and the Royal Netherlands Embassy (Canberra).
After meeting in late 2003 with the Royal Netherlands Ambassador to Australia, Dr Hans Sondaal, Warren Thomas Productions were given the green light start a documentary for the 'G for George’ Lancaster Bomber reinstatement and 460 Squadron RAAF Commemoration at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
From the strength of the 460 Squadron Documentary, Warren Thomas Productions then quickly secured a contract to produce a short promotional documentary for the WW2 NGVR (New Guinea Volunteer Rifles) Association, based in Brisbane.
Warren Thomas Productions work with the highest standard of skills in the ever changing world of multi media production including all areas of television and radio advertising, pilots, corporate film, video clips and now the exciting new division of "Your Family Documentary".
MISSION STATEMENT
"To provide the highest value multimedia production solutions and services,

"Whilst interviewing the WW2 veterans for the "G for George" Lancaster Documentary (2003), my interviewing style seemed to be a catalyst to bring out a broad range of unrelated personal stories from the veterans, both funny and fascinating. On occasion they would express to me that they were telling me 'stories' which hadn't been told to their own families. I felt honoured. What I would give now to hear those golden stories from my father and grandparents who passed away years ago. I felt a strong empathy that the stories I was hearing from other people's grandparents would be so wonderful to be translated into a DVD documentary for them to view for life.
It then occurred to me that my interview subjects not only wanted to express their own life stories, but they also felt a need to tell them. I felt that the they could leave a legacy of stories, experiences and wisdoms for their future generations in the same production format as regular broadcast documentaries.
I am very proud to be the conduit for the stories to be passed on to their future generations".....Warren Thomas Weekes.
